We had initially called a club snow run to our annual haunt FS 1302, but life got in the way and nobody could go so Mandi & I joined some other friends for an AWESOME day of snow wheelin’ with some big tire guys!
We spent our Saturday seeking SNOW, up the Ahtanum, on Nasty Creek and Jackass. We found plenty of snow, ice & slush, some mud, did some trail maintenance, and pulled a double rescue all before dark… What did you do on Saturday?
Read the complete Run Report for more on the trip, and watch the video and experience the ride down for yourself. Deep fluffy snow can be an off roader’s dream, or nightmare, we think we caught it somewhere in the middle, but the snow made us work for every mile we made it up that hill, after about 4 1/2 hours up there the sun was fading and we all decided it was time to get off that mountain. As you see we got to the bottom in the dark…
Apologies for the added noise, apparently my dash camera’s mic is sensitive to the defroster running on high, it was really cold up there after all…
